Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) hosted its Industry Partners Appreciation Day 2026 to celebrate the strong partnerships that continue to shape the future of learning, talent development and workforce transformation. The event brought together more than 250 industry leaders and partners in recognition of their contributions towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration, creating meaningful learning opportunities for students and supporting organisations in building future-ready talent.
Centred around the theme of human-first transformation in the age of AI, the event underscored the importance of keeping people, skills and adaptability at the heart of change. In his address, Dr Janil Puthucheary shared perspectives on workforce transformation and the need for organisations to move thoughtfully as technology continues to reshape industries. His message reinforced the value of strong partnerships between education institutions, industry and government in preparing learners for a rapidly evolving economy.
The event also marked another milestone in NP’s continued efforts to bring industry into the classroom through co-developed curricula, real-world projects, internships and emerging technology exposure. NP recognised new and existing industry partners for their role in contributing expertise, time and trust, while reaffirming its commitment to building deeper collaborations that benefit students, organisations and Singapore’s workforce.
A key highlight of the occasion was the official launch of SH1FT+, NP’s new Centre for Shaping Human-First Transformation, in collaboration with EY. The launch reflected NP’s focus on helping organisations navigate transformation by recognising that successful adoption of AI and new technologies depends not only on systems and tools, but also on how people are supported through change.
