“‘Museums, Education, and Research’ was this year’s theme for the International Museum Day Symposium in 2024. The theme recognizes the role of museums in research, activating initiatives for youth engagement, promoting visitor well-being, and providing quality education to shape our understanding of the world.
The National Heritage Board, ICOM Singapore, and The Museum Roundtable discussed topics related to youth engagement and education in museums, social prescriptions within museum contexts, and new approaches to accessibility for museums.
PurpleForest has been honoured to serve as the event organiser, supporting the International Museum Day Symposium in 2023, 2022 and 2021.
