The National Heritage Board, Singapore has organised the ICOM-CECA 2023 Annual Conference with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth. Themed “Museums: Shaping the Future of Education”, the four-day conference invites participants to delve into diverse areas, including exploring new technologies and learning approaches, enhancing accessibility, and fostering partnerships and co-creations.

Participants will gain insights into the potential of digital access to broaden learning opportunities and empower audiences. Discussions will centre around envisioning the future of the museum experience. The conference also covers impactful topics such as programs benefiting underserved communities, strategies to bridge gaps between schools and museums, innovative audience engagement approaches, and leveraging museum spaces for lifelong learning promotion.

In addition to the conference, participants had the opportunity to register for cultural programmes, which include educational excursions to different museums and sites, as well as interactive sharing sessions. Each learning journey featured a distinct theme, allowing participants to delve into the distinctive aspects of each venue.
