First held in 1996, Polytechnic Forum is an annual platform where the five polytechnics take turns to host, giving student leaders exposure to national issues through dialogue, learning journeys and activities with government and industry leaders with Ngee Ann Polytechnic as host for 2026.  

Themed “We, the Citizens of Singapore“ and inspired by the Forward SG vision of a “We-First” society, this year’s forum explored five sub-themes. Fostering Intergenerational Solidarity, Building an Inclusive Singapore, Redefining Successand Merits, Living Sustainably to Protect our Future, and Thriving in the AI Era. PurpleForest Events was engaged to manage the proceedings for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, held at the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Convention Centre. 

Significant proceedings included: 

• Opening Ceremony performances followed by a dialogue between delegates and Guest-of-Honour Mr David Neo. 

• A guided tour for PM Lawrence Wong through all 5 sub-theme exhibitions, led by student presenters, ahead of the Closing Ceremony dialogue. 

• Closing Ceremony dialogue between delegates and Guest-of-Honour Mr Lawrence Wong, engaging students on topics such as AI, the future of jobs and social cohesion. 

• Screening of an express highlight video capturing all 5 days of forum activities and events at the Closing Ceremony. 

• A mass “Home” singalong led by student performers, and the customary handover of Polytechnic Forum hosting duties to the next host polytechnic, marking the close of the event. 

Services Rendered: 

• Application of overall thematic design on all collaterals for the Opening and Closing Ceremony proceedings 

• Stage management and rehearsal coordination for both ceremonies 

• Provision of audio, lighting and video equipment with technicians for stage proceedings 

• Emcee coordination 

• Provision of on stage panel discussion furniture  

• Fairy light decorative add-on setup on stage landscaping 

• Engagement of a video production house for express highlight video production, covering all 5 days of forum activities and events for screening at the Closing Ceremony 

• Engagement of a performance coach to guide and prepare students for their Closing Ceremony performance
