The EcoFriend Awards is a biennial National Environment Agency (NEA) platform that recognises individuals in Singapore who have made significant contributions to the nation’s sustainability journey. First launched in 2007, the Awards honour environmental changemakers from diverse sectors and backgrounds, including students, youths, educators, grassroots members, non-government organisation volunteers, and individuals from the public and private sectors.

The 17th edition of the EcoFriend Awards took place on 18 August 2026, where 14 individuals were presented with the Awards by Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, for their exceptional contributions towards building a more sustainable and resilient Singapore. The 2026 edition also received a strong response of 510 nominations, exceeding 500 nominations for the first time in more than a decade and reflecting growing public commitment to sustainable living.

Having supported the bi-annual EcoFriend Awards over previous editions in 2022 and 2024, PurpleForest Events was honoured to partner with NEA once again for the 2026 award ceremony. Working closely with the organising committee, our team provided comprehensive event management support to deliver a smooth and meaningful experience for award recipients, distinguished guests and stakeholders, while supporting the event’s role in bringing Singapore’s environmental champions together to exchange ideas and amplify collective impact.
