The MND EDGE Scholarship programme is a talent development project under the Ministry of National Development and its key statutory boards. The programme provides a meaningful career opportunity, where MND EDGE scholars can contribute to shaping Singapore’s interests and promote the well-being of Singapore citizens. Hosted by the Ministry of National Development (MND), the annual award ceremony welcomes guests of scholars to celebrate the achievements of the scholarship recipients. 

This year’s ceremony celebrated 27 undergraduate and 13 postgraduate recipients of the MND EDGE Scholarship, presenting award certificates and giving scholars and their guests the opportunity to interact with the senior management of the MND Family. In his address, Minister Chee Hong Tat encouraged scholars to take calculated risks, try new ideas and not be afraid of making mistakes along the way, noting that failure often brings learning points that success alone cannot provide. 

In addition to the scholarship award ceremony, scholars also attended an induction programme in early July, visiting various facilities owned and managed by the MND Family to understand more about the ministry.
